Church of San Giorgio Martire
Dedicated to San Giorgio Martire, it was built on the model of the
Mother Church of Cosenza, around 1480 by the
Zumpanita Blessed Francesco Marino. The three-nave church is
in Gothic-Romanesque style with some Baroque expressions,
it has full-arch dividing arches which are supported by
tuff pillars while a wooden ceiling of the 500, carved and
decorated with large very chiaroscuro coffers, it covers the
major nayata. The apse and the arch are in the Gothic style; in
at the end of the apse on the high altar is the beautiful Triptych
wooden by B. Vivarini, while on the holy arch with supporting beam yes
finds a beautiful wooden crucifix from the 1600s.
